Eccles M602 Footbridge – Etched Stainless Steel Plaques

Eccles M602 Footbridge | Etcehd Stainless Steel Plaques

As part of a scheme to improve the existing footbridge over the M602 motorway in Eccles, Salford, I was asked to produce a series of stainless steel plaques celebrating the work of various local community groups and organisations.

Each plaque measures 100cm x 450cm and was produced using laser etching onto stainless steel (to match the steel used on the bridge).

The work was commissioned by Salford City Council, and incorporated verse produced by local poet Jenny Berry.

As part of a second phase to the project, I have started designs on new laser cut and coated steel artworks, to be produced and installed on the entrance areas to the bridge.

This has been a great project to be a part of and I can't wait to see the new artwork in place!
