Kew Woods Primary School, Southport

Working with two classes from year 5, I was asked by the school to design a new artwork to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Kew Woods Primary School in Southport. As a group, the children and I developed the design by incorporating images that reflected their learning and enjoyment of being part of this wonderful school.

We decided upon a design that flows all around the main entrance of the school, reflecting an uplifting story of school life. In all the artwork spans just under 11 metres in length, and 1 metre in height.

Produced from two layers of laser cut and powder coated steel, the work really has a 'WOW' factor, and the children and staff are really proud of their efforts!
